Sting of the Black Tulip The Giclee Studio Proof

The Sting of the Black Tulip - The Giclee Studio Proof

The Sting of the Black Tulip was the first in the immortal Bf109 series by Robert Taylor entitled the Hartmann Trilogy and portrays events on 7 August 1943 when Erich Hartmann (the world's highest scoring Ace) claimed seven victories in a single day.

It is astonishing to recollect that Erich Hartmann's nicknamed The Black Tulip by the Russians on account of the black tulip icon on the nose of his Bf109 was one of the many famous signatories who featured on that original paper limited edition print. This Bf109 piece is now a extremely sought after print on the secondary market.

Thanks to the Giclee process collectors can now complement those high-value signed prints (and enhance their portfolios) with the release of a new Studio Proof.

Produced and printed onto fine canvas under the direct supervision of the artist to match his original painting and then mounted on to high-quality stretchers from the Military Gallery - each of these carefully crafted Giclee Studio Proofs are fully authorized and personally hand signed by artist Robert Taylor.
